Thunder Storms Are Loud
Today, Rose made it through another thunder storm…she always does but she freaks out with the loudness of the thunder and then as the heavy rain starts slapping everything outside she doesn’t calm down soon enough. I am happy to have been there for her and to hold her as she was shaking uncontrollably and forgetting to breathe out. Wrapped her in a blanket as I sat on the floor, she then buries her body into mine and her head into my legs - sweet, sweet girl.

Utah Government DIslikes Childless Women
Here is the cold facts: if a woman does not have any children, she cannot receive financial assistance while she is actively searching for employment. She can, maybe, receive food stamps, but those do not pay the bills, only makes my stomach full while I am living in a cardboard box next to the city building in Salt Lake.
Not only am I punched in the face each year when tax season comes because I am childless, I am now slapped by Utah’s government because I am childless… Does this make sense? I have worked hard in Utah since my teen years and this is the thanks I get! Others get the benefits the state has taken from every paycheck of mine.
