A Cup Full of Food

posted 1 year ago

Remember a few months back when Rose then Jack became extremely ill, taking them over a week each to recover to whatever it was they had?  We thought it may be the dog food we bought, yet the vet assured us it couldn’t be.  Well, that bag of food we set aside anyway and thought if the vet was certain it was not harmful then we would donate it to NMHPU, because the price was so good, we bought a second bag before they got ill, but after their illness we thought either return to Costco or donate an unopened bag to NMHPU; both bags have sat in the garage for months.  The boys were cleaning out the garage and organizing it this last Saturday, with their great efforts (the garage looks fabulous) they opened and emptied the bag into the food bin, and without me thinking clearly Sunday morning I gave them each approximately 1 1/2 cups.

Within hours Jack started showing signs of illness… he has crappy ass, or shitty pants, whatever you want to call it! :)  But we didn’t know this because not long after I feed them, the pair of jeans and I went to Borders for a couple of hours, we come back home and whoooaaaa, stinky!  Still, after cleaning up we were not sure who it was, pretty certain it was Rose by the way she was acting, but later we find out it is Jack.

Its Tuesday today and he is still having these horrible symptoms from 1 1/2 cups of Kirkland dog food; yep, I am certain this dog food is a danger to dogs as my dogs have become ill after eating it.

Next time you are shopping at Costco and are thinking of purchasing their Kirkland Dog Food… DON’T BUY IT ~ your babies may become ill.

Jack’s temperament is a lot better than last time, he is happy, doesn’t want to play but it loving all the words flowing through his ears and all the belly rubs and butt scratches! Oh I hope this doesn’t last as long as the last time.
